This may be a stretch, but I’m going to do it anyway. For years, as I worked full-time jobs, often at companies where outside activities were strictly discouraged/prohibited, I always had a handful of passion projects going in the background. I knew I couldn’t take those things live, unless I was willing to step away from my job. And since I was supporting a household, that wasn’t going to happen.
Well, now I’m on my own, and I’m not in a W2 position where my hands are tied anymore. So now I can move forward with some of these passion projects and actually go public with them.

The only problem is, there are a lot of them. Last I counted, there were about 34.
I’ve given a whole lot of thought to these projects over the years, and since I am a very visual spatial thinker, I’ve made a whole lot of progress figuring out how they’re supposed to be put together, what they’re supposed to look like and do, etc.
So, I’m going to pick a handful of them and launch them in September. They’re not small projects. I have extended business plans, specifications documented, road maps, and long lists of to-do items for each of them. How am we going to do all of this in the month of September?
I’m going to use AI. That is, I’m going to put AI to the test and see if it will actually work. Supposedly it can.
I’ve mapped up my approach and figured out a way to do it sustainably – that is, not spend all day every day working on this, but leverage AI to do key things for me and take a whole lot of administrative stuff off my plate.
Unless you’ve been working with AI for a while, none of this may make sense to you. But it makes sense to me, and rather than try to explain it all, I’m just going to demonstrate.
This may not work. I may fail miserably at every single one of these things. I may succeed wildly at some of them and fall flat on my face on the others. But I’m going to do it anyway, just to finally do what I’ve been meaning to for many, many years, but never could because of extenuating circumstances.
Here’s what I’m going to work on:
- True To You – Bespoke AI-powered content creation and online training about leveraging generative AI to produce content that’s consistent with your voice and brand and style. (https://personalitai.net/ai-training/true-to-you-creating-content-with-ai-that-shows-your-style/)
- Recruitable CPS – AI-powered tools for jobseekers who can use a little extra help. (https://recruitablecps.com/)
- Caregiver Companion – Generative AI powered support app for isolated caregivers. (https://caregivercompanion.net/)
- WhatWorx – Online coaching using generative AI to handle a whole lot of different situations. (https://whatworx.net/)
- KleerzAll – A tool for quickly and easily moving leaves and small amounts of snow that I patented about 15 years ago. (I need to create a site, so I’ll use AI to do that, too)
I’m going to stop at five, so I have one day a week to catch up. And take the 7th day off. I mean, even God took a day off.
Now, each of these could probably be a full-fledged business, in and of itself. But as much as I’d love to focus only on one of them at a time, the fact of the matter is that each of them has had to wait too long to realize their potential. There’s no way that I can spend all day every day working on these things. I have too much going on, and I need to pay attention to my existing commitments. Plus, I may want to do something else with my time during the day. AI can help me. I’m pretty sure. So I’m going to let it.
The other thing, too, is that I really do believe that with AI we can do so much more than we ever dreamed possible. We can… we just haven’t been pushing the envelope nearly enough. There’s incredible potential locked up, and if I can do these six projects in one to two hours a day for the month of September and come out on the other side having achieved some level of awareness and exposure, not to mention sales of these products and services… well, that’s something.
I hope you’ll Join me in this adventure. I am bound to learn a lot, and I’m hoping that anybody else who watches me will, too.
